How do I find the meeting point?
The meeting point where you meet the husky guide is in the restaurant Trockenen Steg by the bar on the second floor (escalator). The restaurant is in the same building as the mountain station of the Matterhorn Express. To get there, please take the Matterhorn-Express gondola (8 seats) to the Trockener Steg terminus.
How do I get to the Matterhorn Express gondola?
A shuttle bus (Ski Elektrobus) stops at the valley station of the Matterhorn-Express gondola every 10 minutes during the winter season. Bus stops (green line)
What clothes do I need?
You need clothes which are suitable for the high mountains:
- Ski or winter clothing, (different layers).
- Sturdy hiking boots (ankle high) to support the ankle (can be rented in sports stores).
- Winter hat, warm thick gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen.
Is the offer suitable for children?
Children from two years old may participate in the activity. The offer is perfect for families and groups. The huskies are happy to be petted by both adults and children under the instruction of the musher. Children ride together with one adult at a time.
How long does the event last?
The event lasts one hour and 30 minutes. 15 minutes are planned for the way to the circuit.The sled ride on the circuit included in the offer lasts about 8 to 12 minutes.
How long does it take to Trockener Steg?
The journey from your accommodation in Zermatt to the Trockener Steg at 3,000 m should take around 1 hour 30 minutes. The journey on the Matterhorn Express cable car (8 seats) from the valley station to Trockener Steg takes around 25 minutes.
Are photos chargeable?
No. You can take as many photos as you like. The husky guide also takes photos themselves, which we send to you via WeTransfer after the event.
Can I cancel my booking time?
Yes. Up to 60 days before the start date 80% of the booking value will be refunded. At 14 days 50% and at 6 days 20%. No refund will be made 48 hours before the start of the course. A handling fee of CHF 45.00 will be charged in any case. We recommend that you take a cancellation insurance policy.
